Causes of high blood pressure:
Most patients do not know the exact cause of high blood pressure, but older people usually have high blood pressure. Factors that increase the risk of high blood pressure are: being overweight or obese, eating too much salt, too much work pressure, alcohol, family size, too much noise and living in a shabby and crowded environment. High blood pressure can cause kidney damage and stroke, which can lead to death. In addition, retinal hemorrhages can cause blindness. Prevention and treatment of high blood pressure
It is possible to reduce the risk of high blood pressure by making dietary or lifestyle changes. Hereditary hypertension cannot be reduced. However, in such cases, more attention should be paid to the factors that can be controlled


1) The most important thing is to avoid excess salt in vegetables and not to take salt in leaves.


 
2) Eat foods that are low in fat and low in cholesterol. Such as Khasi or beef, liver, brain, swallow, eggs should be eaten less. Low-fat foods and skim milk, unsaturated fats such as soybean, canola, corn oil or sunflower oil can be consumed. It is better to eat more fiber foods. It is good to eat flour bread and semolina in moderation.
3) Lose weight at any cost. Eating should be controlled and exercise should be done regularly. Once you reach your goal weight, you should continue to eat moderately and exercise. It is better not to try to lose weight by taking medicine, it is very risky. It is better not to take weight loss medicine without doctor's advice.

4) Avoid smoking. Avoid contact with smokers. Tobacco leaves, jorda, rose plants etc. should be avoided. Alcohol should be avoided.

Medicines:
If the above measures are taken properly and one's high blood pressure is not under control then one must take medicine under the doctor's advice. There are many medications to control blood pressure known as anti-hypertensives that lower blood pressure. A reduction in blood pressure of 5-6 mm reduces the risk of stroke by about 40%, the risk of coronary heart disease by about 15-20% and also reduces the risk of heart failure. Commonly used drugs include betablockers, such as metoprolol, atenolol, labetalol, carvedilol, angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) such as losartan, valsartan, irbesartan; Alpha blockers, such as terazosin and prazosin.
These drugs bring blood pressure down to 140/90 or more. Each drug can individually reduce systolic pressure by 5-10 mmHg. Therefore, more than one medication may be needed to control blood pressure. However, no medicine should be taken without a doctor's advice.

Many patients stop taking medication once blood pressure is under control. Thinking that blood pressure is good, then what is the need to take medicine? This idea is completely wrong. Under no circumstances should the medication be stopped without a doctor's advice. Many people express reluctance to take medication despite knowing that they have high blood pressure. Such patients are more prone to sudden heart attack or even death. Therefore, regular medicine consumption and examination and doctor's advice should be taken.
